On which devices can I download and use CargoMax?
CargoMax supports Windows, Android, and iOS and runs on standard system configurations. It has minimal software requirements, so no special hardware or setup is needed.
I'm not able to create an account on the mobile app. What should I do?
Account creation is currently only available via the desktop app. Once your account is set up, you can log in on your mobile device using the same credentials.
If I purchase a license for desktop, can I use it on mobile as well?
Yes. Once you've signed up on the desktop app, you can download the mobile app (Android or iOS) and log in with the same credentials to access your subscription. Add Mobile Access
How do I use my mobile device for draft readings?
Login to CargoMax on your device and hit Continue. This will allow you to enter data into the device. You must wait for the "Session active" pop up to display on your laptop. On returning to your laptop you must hit the Continue button and wait for the "Session active" pop up to display on your device. This ensures that all data is synced correctly.
Can I use CargoMax offline?
Yes. CargoMax can operate without an internet connection for up to 30 days. All data will automatically sync once you're back online.
I cannot find my ship in the database
If you can't find your vessel in the database, try searching for a sister hull using the built-in search function to save time on data entry. Alternatively, you can customize a new vessel. What happens when I hit the "Summer Draft" button during trimming?
The summer draft is calculated to include the DWA (Dock Water Allowance) based on the density of the drafts for that survey. This ensures you always load to the maximum draft. If loading in a zone other than the summer zone please adjust the draft manually.
Can I trim with more than 2 hatches?
Yes. You can select the remaining hatches, and CargoMax will handle the calculations seamlessly.
What modes of trimming are there?
You can trim by draft limit or by cargo weight.
How many ships are in the database?
The explorer version has 10 predefined vessels for learning purposes. The Individual database has full access to the database with more than 10,000 dry bulk vessels.
What will happen to the CargoMax USB product?
The USB version is no longer available for purchase and will be gradually phased out as onboard computer security restrictions increase.
Can I switch devices?
Each CargoMax subscription allows access from two devices (for example, one desktop and one mobile). These are the first two devices you log in from. If you need to switch devices later, please contact our support team to reset your device slots.
